hey guys,
i'm new to this community and i'm about to purchase my very first chihuahua in a few short weeks! i'm getting it from a breeder, she has two litters right now. the first are balck and white chis and are ready in september. the newest litter is tri-colored and white/cream chis and they'll be ready in 6-8 weeks. i think i'm going to wait for one from the second litter. i'm going to look at them all next week and i'm soooo excited!!
i would love it if you guys could give me any suggestions/advice on owning a new chihuahua. i've owned a dog before but i've never had a toy breed and i have no experience around chis. i've been researching though and i want to raise it to be the sweetest chi ever! i'm planning on socializing it early and i'm going to attempt to train it to go potty outside, although i've been reading a lot of posts in this community and i've noticed that almost all of you guys have litter or pee-pad trained chis.
my chi is going to be very small - the dad only weighs 3 lbs and both moms are between 4-5 lbs. i also already have a name picked out and have had this name in mind for months and months now... i'm going to name it... are you ready? CHEWBACCA! boy or girl, it's going to be chewbacca. hope you guys like the name ;)
anyways, like i said, i'd appreciate anything and everything you can tell me. thanks a lot, and i'm really excited to be a part of this community!!
