Meet-up Updates for Chigothloli

These event have not been posted in the livejournal section, most of them are FB events. With permission of each girls and naming who is hosting the event.
If you cannot view any of the Facebook events on the Chigothloli you may need to join the community to view. I am not in control of membership bu moderator is pretty awesome if you're a legit

Is anybody hosting or attending the Geneva meetup on this community? I live right by that train station.

i haven't checked this community for a long time since the facebook group is so active but i went to the geneva meet. you should have joined us since it was only myself and the girl hosting. the area is really pretty and i've never had a chance to check it out so we basically went into all the shops ~ ate cupcakes, chocolate and tea ~ and had a long fun day.

Well I guess that would explain why I never hear about anything anymore.

I would have gone, but I think I had literally just decided to get back into Lolita that week, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to put a good outfit together. I totally would have gone if I'd known there would only be two people, even if I couldn't dress up.

I haven't been able to see the facebook group for over two weeks. I'm not sure if I got blocked from it (I didn't do anything) or if that particular group is broken for me.
I feel bad because I only really noticed when I wanted to go to an event, and all the events were gone. I guess I just don't keep up with a lot of online things.
I really did want to go to the Geneva meet, because my dad lives in Geneva, so for me it's not a huge thing to get out that way, but it was on a weekday IIRC, and I was stuck at work.

it's been changed into a secret group? lately strange people far away from the chicago area have been joining so they want to make the group a little safer(i think - i kinda missed what really happened and i didn't try to read up on it). you should ask helen about it ((http://www.facebook.com/Elenoa)), she moderates the group.

on a side note - i would love to go back to geneva and since there are a few more people that might want to go too it would be a successful meet :D i'm not sure when a good time would be though.

I would be willing to come back up to Geneva any time (honestly it's kind of a second hometown for me.) It might be a good November/December meet, and a good shopping meet. The shops there are all lovely, and we could eat at The Little Traveler or 312 or like... any other nice places there. Plus the way the decorate everything around Christmastime is just lovely. The problem is for me though that I work during the week, so it would have to be a weekend meetup for me, and around Christmastime my weekends are going to be filled up with craft fairs and family time. And if we did a Sunday, a lot of the shops are open on Sundays, but they close early (well, early by city person standards, I guess 5-ish for most of them.) I'm sure if we got enough interested people to collaborate though, we could figure something out.

I'm not sure about the facebook group though. And I just went to Helen's facebook page but I couldn't message her. The whole thing just seems kind of weird to me.
