Wow
So it's been a while.
I've been super busy with work - got promoted to Network Engineer - i've been working on building out a OC-48 SONET ring for use by the internal offices, we're going to be putting Cisco's ICM VoIP traffic over it for customer calls. Very exciting and very stressful. I've learned a lot though.
Today is my b'day!!! I cast off the last bit of my Michigan heritage - my Michigan plates became Illinois plates... two years after my move, but eh. I had to go downtown to do it - the State of Illinois building is incredible. 20 or 30 stories, all glass, angeled, it's quite beautiful.
The Gay Games were great - Water Polo is awesome! I've improved quite a bit. I helped out at Swimming - so i got to see all my old teammates from Detroit. My lane, lane 1, became the informal gathering area for all Detroit swimmers. It was great fun.
I'm going to Amsterdam in November for a week. My first trip over the pond since UK back in 02. So i'v of course VERY excited.
Jon, who might read this or might not, really hurt my feelings by his selfish ways. Obviously some dudes that return his calls MONTHS later are more important to him then his friends for years, Don and myself, so we've both cast him off the island. He couldn t even come visit me once in Chicago... but lord knows he could go to Toronto like 5 times!!! See how i rank eh? And the best part - the canuck friend of his who's journal entry implicated him ended up taking it down (or making it friends only) LOL! Too late you boob.. the damage is done!
