Hurray!!!
It's been clear for days that this was coming, but it's SO good to have it finally announced!
Mr. Biden has a huge job ahead of him, but changing the tone of the presidency and of the nation is something he'll do well at, regardless of what else gets done.
I was born in Mr. Biden's home state of Delaware and spent the first 23 years of my life there. With Delaware's three -- count them, 3 -- Electoral College votes, I never thought we'd be in a position to furnish a president to the nation. :-) While I've lived in Massachusetts for more than twenty years now and find it a much better fit for me than Delaware was, I'm still thrilled to see Delaware Boy Makes Good. Of course, that's WAY down on the list of reasons to be glad that Biden won, but it's something my LJ friends probably don't know about me, so I thought I'd mention it. :-)
