Some of you may know that, on the advice of my back pain specialist, I have been working with a group called
Jumpstart Medicine in order to lose weight and reduce strain on my back injury.
As of sometime this week, I hit my first weight-loss goal!
In the past 19 weeks, I have gone from 259 pounds to 199 pounds!
I'm not quite done with the weight loss yet; I have a new goal of 190 pounds, which I should hit in a few weeks, but still, I reached a major milestone!
For those who are curious, the weight loss is due to a calorie-restricted, low carbohydrate diet, riding my bicycle the 4.7 miles to work and back pretty much every day, and, as of about a month ago, twice weekly trips to the rock climbing gym with my little brother.
