Kakashi led the way to his home, and soon, they pulled up. It was a nice three story home, a big yard with large lush trees and flowers. It was rather picturesque looking home. After pulling into the garage, he climbed out and gave a sharp whistle, chuckling as he heard the stampede of paws rush towards him. He knelt and greeted the dogs one at a ( Read more... )

Still >.>

Shisui had patted the dogs then, eventually bending down to actually play with them a bit. It took him a while to get used to the biggest dog, though, and he almost jumped back, only lightly patting him, still a little uncertain~

Well, he was working part time as a criminal profiler (more like a consultant), but that really wasn't getting him much cash flow :< Oh world, why are you so unfair?

Still playing, his voice broke slightly towards the end. Shisui managed to stop himself, though, and continued until the end, sighing softly as the last note faded into the air. He was still unaware of Kakashi's presence.

The man had moved, silent as a shadow to stand behind the Uchiha and only when he stopped playing did two arms reach 'round him and begin to play, his voice rang out, low and rich as he sang.

He too had someone special, someone that had brought music into his life...and they weren't there any longer. It was one of the most gut wrenching things he did on a weekly basis, go and pay homage to his parents.

His mother had passed away when he was young, and it was around that same time, when his father had returned home against orders to see his son. He himself had been the target of the sniper that day, but his father had saved him at the cost of his own life, bleeding out in his young sons' arms who was still so young, too young to understand what had happened.

Shisui nearly turned around in shock when he saw Kakashi's fingers touch the keys in front of him, but turning only ended in him face to face with Kakashi's chest. He paused for a second there before slowly turning back to watch those fingers move on the keys, not taking his eyes off them. He pushed the pedals whenever necessary, not breaking into song this time, the underlying message getting through to him.

Did everyone in this place come from messed up childhoods? As counselor, he'd had to listen to every kid's story, and everyone had a terrible story to tell. His own brothers - no, cousins - shared something similar, something that tied them together.

Halfway through the song, Shisui tilted his head to steal a glance at the other, quietly going back to watching him play the rest of it...

The stolen glance would be met right back. It was so strange to think that even the brightest of smiles had a shadow at their back. Kakashi felt bad for what had happened to his father yes, he did miss his mother, but he didn't let such a thing rule his life.

He had picked himself up, dusted himself off and pressed on, making something of himself. He had originally started down the path he chose in search of vengeance for his father and he had gotten it....he then learned of a greater joy. Protecting those who could not defend themselves, being there for the ones who needed you, picking up someone who had fallen and given up hope.

As he ended the song he teased the last notes from the keys with the gentleness of a practiced lover. He gave a soft pleasant hum before leaning back and smiling to Shisui warmly.

Shisui, unfortunately, saw the end of his nightmares only a few months ago. But where Kakashi wore a tangible mask, Shisui's wasn't visible up straight. He was Peter Pan to every body else, an older brother. But inside? It was a darkness he was fighting to keep away. Fighting to prevent it from taking over him.

"What's your favorite movie?" He asked Kakashi at the end of the song, absently touching middle C.

"The Boondock Saints. The first one." He smiled just a bit before he moved away. "I've got plenty of others downstairs in the living room." He made his way from the piano to the wall where his guitars hung rather proudly.

Picking out one, he slung it over his chest and made his way to a nearby amp, plugging it in. He strummed a few cords, glancing up at Shisui, oh you could almost -see- that wide grin on his face.

A few lazy chords before he broke out into a familiar and bouncy song.

"Heh. The Boondock Saints, really~?"

Hnngh yeah Shisui is totally in love with your guitar collection Kakashi, ahem. "So, it's just you and the seven of them in this uh... mini-hotel?" Mini-hotel, right. What else could he call it?! He still had to ask him about the Jacuzzi and tanning beds. "Doesn't it get lonely? I mean, I'd get lost in one of the corridors or something and will have to call 911 to get me out..." He was being serious. Oh hell, if left alone, Shisui would end up buried under papers and his own mess. He would need a rescue team!

And when Kakashi began to play? O-oh. My. God. Shisui just sat there with his mouth open for a bit and then grinned, so wide his face would have broken in half. "Haha!" Yes, he was no longer mopey, now seated there playing air guitar and banging his head, curls flying every which way. "Whoo~!" Ahem.

Kakashi chuckled a bit. "Hm, I have friends come and visit from time to time but...they're rather good company. We used to work together when I was on the K-9 squad. When I was transferred they didn't want to work with anyone else so...they came with me."

"It does get a bit lonely, then again, a little solitude is nice now and then." He made sure to answer those questions before he began to play, glancing up and smiling a bit.

Yup, if Kakashi knows how to do one thing, it's cheer someone up. He strummed the final note and chuckled lightly. "Grab one.." He motioned with his head. "Any one that you like and hook in..." Pianos and violins were all well and good...but nothing beat the bright feral sound of a good guitar.

"Hn. I guess it's not that bad then."

Shisui didn't need to be told twice. He was up in a heartbeat, and he'd already had his eye on one particular guitar, carefully bringing it down and fastening the strap around him. Which is when he figured his coat was getting in the way, and apologized before taking the instrument off him again. Tossing his coat off to wherever gravity would take it, now in just his shirt and loose tie, he brought the guitar around him again. Plugged it in and tried out a few notes. "Ah what the hell, eargasm," he muttered, blushing soon after, hoping Kakashi wouldn't have heard it~

Kakashi made his way over as the other tried out the guitar, a hand reaching up to tug the tie loose and pull it off carefully, tossing it to let it land on the others coat.

"I know...they tend to have that affect on people." He winked lightly before moving to settle down on a nearby stool. There was one near Shisui if he wanted to take a load off while he played.

"Anything you want to play Shisui-san?" He idly plucked out a few notes as he sat there, one bare foot tucked against a rung on the stool.

Shisui paused for a moment there, looking down to see what Kakashi was doing, and when he figured he was only taking off his tie and not undoing any buttons he went back to fingering that guitar. "Thanks." Was he the only adult to wear a full suit to school? Probably.

"Hmm..." He bit his lip, thinking for a second. "Huh, how about this one, from the good ol' eighties~?" Alright, so much head banging to this one HRRRN~

Not really, Kakashi wore one too. Now did he keep all the parts on all the time? Nope, sometimes it got a bit too stuffy and his coat would have to take a break now and then.

Kakashi chuckled as Shisui picked the song following along easily, his foot tapping along with the beat as his fingers slipped over the strings.

He wasn't going to sing this time, if Shishi wanted to, that was up to him.

So that made them the only two staff members to actually wear something appropriate to work...

And-- Oh hells yes, Dr. Shishi was totally going to sing that song. With a naughty little grin to boot. And foot tapping? He was practically making love to that guitar. There was also that one particular head bang followed by a hair flip that totally screamed rock star. What was he doing with PhD's in Psychology, Forensics, Sociology, and Medicine?

Not that Kakashi was any less made out to be a rock star; the man was amazing in his opinion. And boy was he thankful for such a good time~

Of course Kakashi watched, simply admiring the other as he played. He wasn't one for judging someone by outward appearances. He saw someone, a caged soul, pacing restlessly only freed when his hands were stroking along the strings or keys of an instrument.

As the song came to an end, Kakashi plucked a few chords before beginning his own song. The rich tones of German slipped from his lips, singing along with the song.

He didn't look at the good doctor directly, but as each lyric was sung, his gaze was intense, almost as if he were singing it for a lover. His voice powerful, feral...almost a seductive growl of sound. Such a gaze and tone should be reserved for the bedroom instead of a neat over the garage studio..or perhaps that was the perfect place for it?

As he played, his fingers shifted smoothly, the guitar singing just so for him, almost as if the instrument was quivering under his hands.

Now Shisui wasn't really familiar with the song, and he leaned against the piano, half sitting, not playing, but resting the guitar across his lap. And no, he wasn't 'just listening' - he noted the look in the other's eyes, that tone of voice, and my god, what was he saying?! It was German. German. And why was he doing that?! That feral, growly, sexy voice that gave Shisui goosebumps. And he felt like a bastard for feeling this way, because... wasn't he supposed to be with Itachi?

He doesn't even know it, but he's ever so slowly dragging the tip of his tongue along his lips, unable to take his eyes off the man. That was when he decides he's feeling a little too hot, and is also unaware that he is blushing. Even the tips of his ears are red...

When Shisui settled his eyes on the silver haired teacher, that heated gaze stared him right back. Almost like a hungry predator that had found what it wanted, his eyes slid closed as he finished the last few lines of the song, all but purring them to the instrument in his hands.

Holding out the last note, he opened his eyes, looking back to Shisui, a much less intense gaze this time.

"Was haben Sie davon?"
What did you think of it?

He didn't know if the good doctor could speak German or not, but he was going to find out that was for sure.
