Happy Valentine's/Snow Day!
I woke up at like 5 or 5:30 this morning and groaned. It was the plow man. I was thinking, I hope you die plowman, I don't want school tomorrow! And sure enough, I ended up falling back asleep and waking up at 9:30 and knew there was no school even though there was only about 3 inches of snow and a bit of freezing rain-ish sleet-ish noisy stuff. I ate pancakes, watched music videos, and the edition of How Do I Look? with Alex, Morgan from Supersize Me's wife who needed a new look for the Oscar's.
It doesn't even feel like Valentine's Day. I really don't care though, because pink heart cookies and tacky red cards don't mean a thing. Now maybe a dozen roses on the other hand does a little because it's so classic and sweet, but Valentine's is stupid 'cuz it makes you feel bad if you don't have anyone, and I don't. Well Abby Brinn is my Valentine sort of as one of those joke things, which is fun, because I don't need a guy right now. Guys are stupid. Valentine's Day just makes you feel like you do, even if you don't. But then again maybe it makes you feel like you don't because you feel empowered if you get through the day with a smile on your face and laughing. So it's good and bad and I'll shut up now...because I don't really know what I'm saying.
Today's plan is:
-history hw that I didn't do last night muahaha :) I would have died if I woke up with morning and had school, but I knew we wouldn't so I took a tiney risk but who cares
-admissions essay for Drexel University 2-week course/camp summer program thing...I want it to be honest and sincere but not cheesey...I'll post it later if I finish it today... 500 words, not too bad
-STORY TIME! with Isabelle and more of Lily even though I should stop jumping ahead to number 3 and just finish the sequel first
-ping pong! with the mom...so much fun :) <3
-some cookie time with the mom as well?
I really don't have any other hw...and we didn't get Macbeth yet...so I have nothing else to do today...it'll be relaxing and fun but first I need to do the hw from last night!!
I wish I had gone to poetry out loud but the mom was too tired to drive me, the dad was at a church meeting, I was tired, I wanted to watch wheel of fortune and jeopardy (some quality television right there) and no one wanted to leave the house. So I didn't but I feel bad for promising Siya that I would probably go...whoops...
How many points did you guys get if you went??
