The Melancholy of ...Me!!
Seriously, I've given this show a fair chance. I really have. But I can't understand what the appeal of Haruhi Suzumiya is. I know a lot of my friends really enjoy it, but to me it's nothing more than "Selfish bitch, the anime". I know she's god, or whatever, and if she gets bored the universe stops functioning so she HAS to be selfish. But to that, I retort Why would I want to watch a show about that? I don't find it entertaining to see someone have their every whim fulfilled at the cost of others. It's not funny, at least not to me. What about her is even like able?

I appreciate that post alot, I can even see that girl's point of view. I don't agree with it, but everyone has different personal views of power trips. But if you don't see the show as female empowerment, then why do you find it enjoyable? I'm genuinely curious to see what makes it so popular.
I also can't stand the Mikuru character. All she seems to be is "help, help I'm being exploited again!" oh and big tits. It really irks me. I've just been told to watch this show for years by most of my friends, and it's mostly annoying me.
