Lord, please send her to me

The past week in a nutshell has been pretty awesome.

I went to C2E2, a local Chicago comic convention, on Saturday. Hung out with Leonard the entire day since I didn't know anyone else there. I wasn't even planning on attending, I had never heard of it. Though it was the con's first year, it was pretty big, with plenty of huge names in comics. Alex Ross's line alone, wound around the entire halls. Most of the day Leonard and I browsed the artist alley and drooled over paintings and sketches. I had a lot of fun just looking at comics and meetings artist with Leonard since we both love art so much! We ran into Anna a few times, one of his photographer friends, meeting her was cool.

Unfortunately I missed one of my favorite artists, Mike Mignola, but I'll see him someday! I brought my portfolio and a few sketches to the con to show a few artists and get critiques (although most of the ass kicking ones are stuff Ais tells me all the time :D). I had a really nice chat with Terry Moore, the author of Strangers in Paradise. He gave me some really good advice about self publishing and complimented my work. I also dropped off Indigo samples to the ONI press guys, although I doubt I'll ever hear back.

Anyways, I brought along Cammy, so Leonard and I finally got to do a proper shoot in the costume.

I absolutely love this picture! I need to work with him more often :D
He also gave me to this cool Bayonetta watercolor painting that he knew I liked

Then we had a Professor Layton puzzle adventure where we tried to help Anna find her stolen purse. It sucked that someone would take something she sat down for literally minutes, and Leonard ended up being right. The perpetrator stole all the money/cards then dumped it in the trash. So at least she got her keys and ID back. Case Solved.

Since I've been working on commissions and playing a lot of Bayonetta. I FINALLY BEAT IT ON HARD MODE! HELL YEAH GAME TAKE THAT! Bayonetta kicks your ass and spits you out. Now to beat it on infinite climax yeaaaaaaaaaahh.

...I almost want this. ahahah my friend jp's face is pricless

Some fans also made a 16 bit version of the opening level. It's so freakin' cute. I'd play it.

Went and saw Kick-Ass last night with Ais and Jon. Was very impressed by the movie. Perhaps I'm desensitized to violence, but I didn't think any of it was that gory. I though it was an amazing adaptation of a comic that's really good. Cinematography was awesome, but I expected nothing less from the director of Layer Cake.

I also apologize for the delay in Indigo updates. We just signed the lease on our new place and we're doing most of the moving this weekend. Soon as this madness is all over I can get back to regular updates.
