Vegas Day 3

Aug 10, 2006 22:31

Last of the pics for today, I promise. :) Only a day and a half left to get through!

I was all excited to have a night of doing nothing... and now I'm just really, really bored. :P

Morning of Day 3 we got up and went to the pool again. Even though it was around 100* it felt nicer than 85* in NY... but you did have to jump in the pool every 5 minutes.

We went to lunch at Max's, which had an AMAZING lunch menu - I had a giant plate of pasta for like $6, Jen had salmon for $8 and martini's were 3 for $10!! But since our waiter liked us we got 7 for $10. :) The whole lunch for the 5 of us, including appetizers, 5 meals and 7 martinis was $42. :)

Jen and I drinking even though we both look like we just woke up

After lunch we walked down to Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Excalibur.

We went to Fiamma at the MGM for dinner. There were 12 of us. We got the "Che's Tasting Menu" so they brought out different appetizers, like 5 different pastas (I had the best gnocchi EVER!) and then we each got our own entree. Final price of dinner? $1800. Good thing I wasn't paying. :)

On the way back Jen bought super cool ugly Elvis glasses so I stole hers.

That night we went to Rum Jungle at Mandalay Bay. Cover was $20 and drinks were like $10 each, but we had a lot of fun so I guess it was worth it.

This is like 1/8th of the giant bar

Awesome dancing... and a video too.

We left there pretty much as it closed and ended up at Forty Deuce... which apparently is a burlesque show. Hahaha. We were trying to find Tim and Bob and thought it was the bar they were talking about... and the bouncer let all of us in for free. We were there for like an hour and just thought it was a regular club (although the guy/girl ratio was way off) and all of a sudden this girl came out on stage and started taking her clothes off and we were like... uh oh. That was when we decided to leave. :)
