Yesterday we were busy, so I didn’t get a chance to write anything yesterday. I wanted to, but we ended up doing other stuff, like having a
REALLY AWESOME RACE and then a great lunch and a nap.
Day 09 - A song that you can dance run to (I changed this. I run, I don’t dance)
When I run, I want anything with a great beat. It doesn’t matter what the music is, so long as its tempo is something that I can keep pace with. The better the beat, the better the run. Current favorites:
Sometimes I prefer angry music on runs, and I’ll skip things by
Bon Jovi in lieu of
Korn, Pantera, or Eminem. Other times I want more upbeat things and I’ll listen to a lot of
Lady Gaga. Anything, so long as the tempo is right, can be found on my little mp3 player. This means that something like Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young’s Suite Judy Blue Eyes is not on the running playlist, as much as I like the song.
Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep
I used to sleep with headphones on while I worked on the cruise ship. I would listen to The Eagles Greatest Hits album. Later, when I moved back home, I would fall asleep to Korn’s
Life Is Peachy and Pink Floyd’s The Wall. It’s amusing to me that sometimes the music that energizes me is the very same music that will make me relax enough to get to sleep.
