Tonight's program includes workday drivel, gossip, and a race.

Oh, look. I have nothing of substance to write, and so I will spew a series of unrelated paragraphs, formatted nicely into an unordered list.
  • This week has gone by so slooooowly. I mean, it's dead at work, and it it's as though people are afraid that the rains from the past two weeks are lurking somewhere behind a tree or something, just waiting for them to come outside to enjoy the sunshine and to ruin the day. Seriously, people. It's sunshine. Come outside and play or something. If you're not going to play, at least pick up your damned medications; our racks can't hold much more.
  • St. Patrick's day came and went, with only 3 people commenting that my hair should have been green instead of red. Our reply was to tell them that I was preparing early for St. Joseph's day.
  • BossRPh called a customer this morning to make him aware that his daughter's prescription insurance wasn't working. She asked if there was a new card, and if so, would he mind bringing it down when he came to pick up the medication. He replied that he couldn't talk at the moment because he was at his brother's funeral. WHO THE FUCK ANSWERS THEIR PHONE AT A FUNERAL?? Put that shit on silent, or at least on vibrate, or, I don't know, ignore it altogether since it's your brother's funeral.
  • [caption id="" align="alignright" width="234" caption="The St. Pat's 5k course, for those who give a shit."]
[/caption]I got out of work early today to pick up our bibs for tomorrow's 5k race. We were also supposed to get some special shirts, but our sizes hadn't been delivered yet. We'll get them tomorrow though. The race runs downtown, through the Smith Hill area, past my old house in Providence (where I lived with Chris), and happens to share the course with the St. Patrick's parade. I don't have a goal time; I'd like to finish faster than my last two races, and I'd like to beat the parade so that we're not fighting for space with high school bands and Irish step dancers. I don't like sharing.
  • I'm so very tired of internet drama (although it does make for interesting conversation fodder at work), and there's no shortage of it this week. I've seen a lot of mudslinging over the past couple of days, and it seems like only a minority of it is actually from people with balls enough to put their name to it. If you've got something to say to a person, get yourself a heaping serving of some testicular fortitude and tell them rather than posting anonymously on someone else's blog.
  • Eddie was sick this week. I've been really, really happy that I didn't get what he had, which was something that could only be described as a heinous exploding-ass sickness. However, he soldiered though it, and showed me how much he listens to my whining by buying us a lovely new bedding set, complete with matching throw pillows, and putting it all on the bed before I got home last night. It's so soft and wicked nice looking.
And this concludes our program for this evening. Right now, I'm going to go sit on the couch and watch Graham Norton on the telly, and maybe watch some DVR'ed crap.
