furious worlds unfurling in my chest
you look to me
but i am blank and speechless
diligently demure
ferociously friendly
sweet as a poisoned apple
bitter bitter and yet too soft
flimsy like paper yet sharp as a papercut
beware of me for i do not trust you

words collecting in my teeth like plaque
i will not speak
i will chew my thoughts in silence and swallow them down
silently i glower here
eyes darkly glinting bright
unseen panther crouched
high and lofty in the shelter of branches
