So I didn't get the job at the music store. Prolly for the best, I guess, 'cause I really dunno that much about music and I think I'd lose my temper too quick with the kid of kids that were in there when Hinata and I were. Anycase, there are a couple other places I haven't tried yet, and someone mentioned the bar down the street is looking for a bouncer. It'd pay at least minimum wage I think, and ending fights quickly is one thing I am good at, so maybe I'll have to give it a try.
The dogsledding's working out okay for now, though. Not quite as good as I hoped, 'cause I didn't get to the park till just before four, but had steady packs of kids following for the next three hours, until after dark. At five bucks a shot, I cleared $85. Spent fifteen dollars on dogfood at the corner store on the way back, but that's still seventy bucks for three hours (and a day's work building the sled, but since I got everything for free, I'm still breaking a profit).
So that'll cover Monday, and if we work most of the day tomorrow--when the park's busiest--we might even get enough to cover rent. Just gotta get a real job before the novelty wears off...
