Wow. I haven't updated for nearly a month. Sorry folks. I kept meaning too, but, well, the days just passed me by. I will try and do better this year. No promises though...
So, this is kind of a catch up entry...
Christmas Day:
My mum came over in the morning, and stayed for lunch. So, it was me, dad, Caroline, my brother and mum. Also my sister, her husband and Ruby (their Border Collie) popped in for an hour. Good times. It was nice to be together on Christmas day, although I am not a fan of the Holiday. In the afternoon, my brother went to get his kids, and we all opened presents. The dogs: Luna, Marlee and Bailey all had a ball opening theirs, lol.
So, what did I get this year? Well, a Printer. Books, Clothes, DVDs, Socks, some money. You know, the usual kind of stuff. I think my favourite gift this year was from my best friend. She got me "Hit-Girl" the action figure. As you know, I'm a big Kick-Ass fan.
Boxing Day/Wednesday
We didn't do much. Instead, the Wednesday after, we had a big Family dinner, because a lot of the family were busy over Christmas. It was like a Delayed-Boxing-Day-Meal. There was me, dad, Caroline, my brother, his new girlfriend, his kids, my sister, her husband, and my aunt and uncle. Plus the four dogs. The charismas dinner was awesome, and we just about got everyone round the table!
New Year
I did nothing for new year. Except watch the fire works going off at midnight. Heh, nothing new there. I never go out for New Years. I was actually working on my novel most of the evening. And dog sitting for my brother. The three dogs where in my room most of the evening.
2011: So Far...
Well, not much news, really. I've been working hard. Both on eBay (Selling!) and on my novel. I've now reached chapter two, and have written about 8800 words. It's taken me longer than I thought, but starting stories, and laying out the ground work always does. Once I hit the fourth chapter mark, I normally write a lot faster as the story comes much easier.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but my brother was able to find Bob and new home. He had to make the hard decision to rehome one of his dogs, now that he didn't have his own house (after his split with his partner). I'm so please for Bob though, because he's gone to a wonderful lady who lives on her own and adores him. He's spoilt rotten. We all really miss him, but as I said to my brother, at the end of the day, you've got to put the dogs needs first. Bob will have an amazing life with this lady, I'm sure of it, and I couldn't be happier for him. The lady rings up every so often for a chat with me and to let me know how Bob is doing, so that is really nice.
Speaking of my brother... he's moved out. He and his new girlfriend have found a house. He told me the other day, he wished he'd held off on rehoming Bob, but I told him, what he did was the best thing he could have possibly done for Bob. Bob has always wanted to be a one-man's dog. He wants a good run, and then to chill out for the rest of the day sitting next to his owner who is solely devoted to him. And, that is exactly what he has now. But, ugh, now my brother has moved out... I miss my Luna! She and Marlee had gotten so close. I've told him we'll have her when he wants to go away, lol. I've also told him he'd better bring her over to visit, lol!
Well, that's all the news I have for now... as I said, I'll try and update more often.
