It was Laurel, Dan and I, and we'd just got back up in Arcata at HSU. We were just hanging around on the campus, waiting for the cafeteria to open, when I decided to pull out my Silent Hill Concept Book. Laurel watched me, and asked what it was, to which I explained that it was a book I'd bought with a lot of sketches from the Silent Hill concept artists, and I was going to add that there were also little essays in it that further expanded upon concepts from the games when she broke in, "Why aren't there enough pictures in it? Your book sucks."

Which spiraled into an argument where she felt all the pictures should go in the middle of the book, and I thought that was a dumb idea, and finally we were shouting at each other until Dan broke in and said we should get going. In my dream I felt terrible, because I hadn't meant to get into a fight with Laurel first thing when we returned but I couldn't figure out how it had become a fight, so it was all terribly frustrating.

So we walked down the hill towards I-Have-No-Idea, all of us in a terrible mood now, when we notice there are dogs following some ways behind us. Now, it's just this trio of dogs that had appeared earlier in my dream doing nothing in particular, so I don't pay it too much mind (though with the sun setting now they are looking a bit more ominous.) Of course, they end up chasing us, because they're zombie dogs. Laurel and Dan rush ahead, while I get knocked to the side--maybe into a ditch! =D

It's cool though, because the dogs bypass me for them. Dan tries driving them off with a stick, and Laurel throws big rocks, but in the end two hillbillies run over to shoot the dogs. Rockin'. But then they turn right around and shoot Dan in the leg, getting a big, "WTFBBQ!" from us. Turns out HSU was overrun by zombies and they were out hunting them, so they'd shot Dan so he'd be stuck in this area (where they had a good sniping position) and the blood would attract the zombies. In short, he was bait. They see some zombies down the street and run off to get 'em while Laurel and I drag Dan to relative safety. We lean him on a tree in front of a bookstore, and then try to figure out what we should do.

(Because I could see briefly into the future in my dream, I didn't feel horribly badly for Dan, as he somehow got totally awesome robotic legs later. Lucky jerk.)

There's a guy in the bookstore, we find out, and he quickly lets us in while the two hillbillies outside dies. The guy explains stuff to us, and how he went to our school and was there when the zombie-invasion all went down.

:( But then I woke up before anything awesome could happen, so I'll never know about my life of zombie-hunting, save that that's what we end up doing.

In non-zombie news, Oblivion owns my soul. I can't stop playing that game. @_@
