I have never laughed so much in my life. Thank you. I was just helplessly staring at the computer screen trying to write an essay on Kurt Schwitters.

I don't know where they draw their name from. It could be from the Shaggs. I only discovered them after some guy emailed me about them after seeing me perform at a friends party because he thought I sounded like the vocalist in the band. He must have been drunk because I sound like a man when I sing, which is something I pride myself on. It says on their website that their influences are The Breeders, Neil Young and Tom Waits. I've heard of the Shaggs and I couldn't agree with you more although I have been guilty of dancing to a song or two but I blame alcohol.

I love Frank Zappa and I have only heard one Captain Beefheart song although I have wanted to buy a few of his records for a long time now. I get lynched for saying that, right? I grew up with Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Tim Buckley and Billy Bragg and the rest was Middle Eastern music and Indian music and Eastern European Gypsy music. Really unconventional stuff. When I hear what people grew up with I get a bit weirded out because then I have to explain what I grew up with and that's a long list of people, genre's and bands that usually no one knows. Then that's followed by questions about where I'm from and if I come from a commune. You listen to great music by the way.
