Things, things and more things

In an attempt to get my mind off of things I decided to run/walk on the treadmill. I went for an entire 70 minutes. That is exactly 707 calories and 4.74 miles.

I feel pretty good right now, as if my lungs are clean. I let out all that heaviness that's been in there. My hair is really curly today too. Could it be related to the workout as well?

The dogs ran around in the basement and rolled on the rug while I was sweating up a storm. Cricket was funny; she is such a desperate attention whore. Since I was clearly occupied and too busy to throw the toy around for her, she figured out that if she placed the toy on the treadmill, it would shoot off into the air toward the other end of the room. It was great fun for all of 2 minutes.

Been keeping an eye on Cricket, she's got a limp the past week or so. I'm afraid that Allie and I aggravated her leg on Saturday when we took the dogs to the park for a walk. So the past few days I've been giving her one-baby aspirin wrapped in cheese. I give it to her at night so she can rest up and be comfortable. I gave one to her this morning, because as soon as I woke the dogs up, she was overly excited and raced Rugby outside. It is really difficult to keep her mellow. I'll probably have to keep her in her crate all afternoon, or make a comfy spot on the couch for her.

Actually, this would work for Cricket...

From now on, we'll call you Speedy.

I spoke with the vet, and decided to bring her in if things get worse. They are actually worried it might be Lymes Disease, which causes arthritis and joint pain. In our area Deer Tick are very common, and most of the time they carry Lymes Disease. My sister had it really badly as a child, and we are constantly pulling ticks off our animals. It has been such a mild winter; I should have figured there were still ticks around.

Problem with getting Cricket to the Vet is the fact that I have no time. The parents are on vacation for 2 weeks, leaving Brian and I in charge of Matt and the two dogs. I start student teaching next week, so my entire schedule is about to change, this week I have to work every afternoon at OASC with the exception of Wednesday. I have to meet my student teacher, go to college for a meeting, and try to make it to a funeral.

Perhaps I can get my brothers to help me out with something.

I'm going to Iron Hill Brewery tonight in Media with co-workers and other friends. We are determined to win Quizzo, and celebrate my last week at Dictator of After School Club.

oasc, exercise, quizzo, fun with google image, iron hill, friends, cricket and rugby
