So after doing my first 5K walk, I am rather beat. That thing kicked my ass, although, it did feel good to get off my ass and get some exercise.
Starting off the morning with a direct run to Starbucks was a bad choice, considering my group of ladies was of about 12 women, and well, you know how it goes - add coffee and 12 women and you're bound to spend your entire morning doing pee breaks.
We got all kinds of free shit and oh man, I visited the Panera Bread too many times (hahaha, Lauren knows!) ahh, anyways... :)
I ran into my 2nd grade teacher, Mr. Martinez for a moment, but had to catch up with the group. He saw me long enough to realize it was me and then have a shocked look on his face -
I regret bringing my sweater and wearing jeans. I totally thought it'd be cold...I was dying of heat and my shoulder bag must have weighed like 10 pounds with all my stuff in it.
It was pretty neat walking on Highway 163 :) We had a lot of people honk at us and we all were screaming and yelling :)
We took an hour and a half to finish the walk (our pace varied) :) When I wanted to give up, I kept myself busy reading the signs people had on the backs of their shirts; it's really incredible how widely spread this disease effects people. It broke my heart when I saw little kids walking in the race with IN MEMORY OF MY MOMMY on their shirts :( Man....thank god I was wearing my sunglasses because I think I got a bit teary eyed a few times.
Anyways, here are pictures, enjoy
If you missed the picture from last night, this was my shirt

There were soooo many funny group names people had:
Tough titties,
Walkers for Knockers,
Healthy Breasts Or Bust!
But I totally loved it. Maybe in a few years I will consider doing the 3 day - I admire those women who do it.
We got a milllllion pictures taken from the free picture people, so within the next 3 days when they post that crap on their website you can see another batch of photos.
Anyways, today was lovely. I felt like I made a difference.
I'm done, over and out my dear
<3 Always
