Ups and downs
So the whole mortgage fiasco we have been dealing with the last year may be coming to a close. As a refresher, the relocation company miscalculated closing costs and so our first 1.5 mortgage payments went to the closing costs unbeknownst to us. So we have been 2 months behind since the get-go. Which sucked. Last November I was told that WF sent us a check for $750 which was the portion if the second mtg payment that hadnt gone to closing costs. Because they were too dumb to apply it to the damn mtg.
Anyway, I've been searching for that check for months and months and gave up. And last night, there it was, in Andy's hand. Postmarked last November. Well we had taken out a loan against Scott's 401k to pay for part of our mtg to get us closer to paying it current. So we've only been a month in arrears lately. So that half payment went to the mtg company today to be applied to the mtg.
Then in the mail we got a refund from USAA for escrow overpaid to the old house mtg for about $600. So we handed that over to the mtg too. And we've been paying extra every month anyway so we may very well be current on the mtg!!!
The boys love school and love being in tx again. I saw black-bellied whistling ducks in our yard today and took a photo. I bought more beading things and plan a few necklaces and bracelets for myself. I'm going to put em together tonight I think.
