Potemkin City Limits, 4 Years Later

Dec 05, 2005 14:04

A lot can happen in 4 years, new presidents, new status quo, new mass cultural upheavals, But in the last 4 years that I have been alive it doesn't seem like much in any of that way has changed. same president, same dumb as SUV's guzzling gas with "Freedubm is not free" stickers same dumb crap expensive mall sweat shop fashion and attitudes that have plagued our society. So this makes Propagandhi'snew Album "Potemkin City Limits" (there first in 4 years) an even more pressing album than ever. The album from begining to ending thrashes through every imaginable topic to raise to the attention, form corporate punk rock, the veganism to the ongoing war to the blight of the common man in an ever increasing third world service econmey. The best song on the album is about starting a cold war with our brothers to the north Canada (That is where they are from) called "A Speculative Fiction), Most of the time I tend now to ignore this kid of thrash, pop punk, but this album screams from using gutair riffs reminiscent of bands like Yes and King Krimson. You all owe it to yourself to buy this Record and then go run naked through the street in awe of its awesomness.
