i just got home from status. it was my first time there and im so glad i went tonight and that i got the chance to experience it, especially for my first time being there. it reminds me of gathering alot. but tonight they had a group of kids from Africa. there was a little boy who was 5 (the cutest kid ever), girls who were 8, 15,16 and then two other boys who were 11 and 19, and then their aunt who was like 24 (she takes care of all of them) they all came out and started dancing and playing the drums. it was so amazing. i have never seen a group of kids that happy before. they were just smiling away, they all had amazing voices. the little boy was up on stage just dancing his little heart out. the man that brought them here started a organization to help kids in africa. he talked about how the kids there are just living to serve God, he said that if you ask one of them how they are some of them will say "im praising God, or im prasing God and he gave me the breath to wake up today" he gave examples of how the children have been helped by his organization. the littlest boy was like 4 pounds at like 3 months i think the guy said, and one of the boys had really bad teeth and so since the man could help him he got his teeth fixed. and when they were all nice and white the boy acted like nothing happend. he didnt care because he doesnt spend time looking in the mirror trying to make himself look good. and one of the girls used to be way under weight and abused by soldiers and now shes living in a home with a whole bunch of other girls eating 4 meals a day. at the very end of the service they got on stage with the band and sang along with us, i have to say it was one of the prettiest things i have ever heard. it took soo much in me not to start crying. it was fantastic.
