Sooooo yea, haven't updated in months and months and months. I generally don't like updating about every little thing that happens, and since summer is just a bunch of hanging out at jmu, I didnt update that stuff. But it was FUN!

I guess I'll start with my 21st birthday in August, which sucked. I drank too much once the clock struck midnight so it made my actual birthday day horrible with a hangover. Needless to say my birthday dinner with friends wasn't so great either cuz I was sick and no one was feeling generous since they just assumed my bf would pay even though he didnt get a job and was taking me out to an $80 dinner the next night. But the 18th, the day after my bday, was awesome cuz David took me to the Melting Pot and it was soooooooo good and fun.

Then two days after my birthday I got sick, and stayed sick for 12 days. Probably the worst sick I've ever had b/c of the lenght and the fear that it could be Lyme disease/Kidney stone/WEST NILE - all possible diagnoses made by the ER in Charlottesville. Kinda crazy. Anyways, I lost probably 75% of my muscle mass from being in bed for so long, and was still sick when classes started, so it was pretty hard getting around for about 5 days after I was better. I still haven't completely gotten all of the muscle back and I've been well for 11 days. It was pretty bad.

Now to classes. They ROCK. I'm taking Human Intimacy with David so that we can figure out stuff for the future, and that class is just great. The prof is so cute, and while we already know a lot of the things he's teaching, some of it is really novel, and it's also good just to see how good & solid our relationship really is. :) Enough sappyness.
My next class is a philosophy class - EEEK! But it's not so bad, it's called Crime, Punishment, & Justice and it's one of my minor reqs & I have all the background knowledge for it, so it's probably the only phil class that I'll actually understand. And the prof is great, last class he asked us if we had any tips for him on how to tell his 5 & 8 year old boys about sex since they're both asking, LOL.
Then I have History of Rock, which is a ton of writing cuz there's no book, but really fun and sooo interesting. The prof made up a blues song on the spot about a girl with a big booty and her boyfriend with a small dick - probably the best class moment I've had in my entire life - imagine 300 people pounding a beat on their desks while the prof sings about craziness.
Finally, I have counseling, my only 400 level class (LOL) which is really good. It's nice to finally be getting real world training for psychology and not just background info that I pretty much already knew since my parents are psychologists. But I really love the class and I'm so excited to be learning counseling skills and getting practice. It's nice to finally know what I wanna do with my life.

Oh yea, that reminded me that being sick totally through me off my GRE studying track, which sucks. And I have to apply to grad schools in about 3-5 months. My top choice is UNC-Greensboro, followed by UNC-Wilmington, UNC-Charlotte, and ECU. I have the gpa to get into all of them, I'm just worried bout my GRE's and finding a 3rd recommendation, and my lack of real world experience.... and I'm worried about David's grad school stuff, which is an added pressure. Oh well.

Onto the fun stuff: being 21 rocks sooooo much. I went out to Highlawn on Thursday with my roommie Claire and a bunch of her friends and it was CRAZY! Pics are up on Facebook if ur curious. But it was so much fun to have a girls night out of dancing and drinking at my first club/bar in America (not including Puerto Rico, lol). The next day we all met up for happy hour at Boston Beanery and then partied that night at a party accross the hall from our apt, which was nice since it was full of freshies so we ended up back here anyways, lol. And then last night we went waterballooning and that was lots of fun, we almost hit a girl on the head though!

Besides a sick start to senior year, it's turning out to be the most awesome year at JMU yet. I didnt think it was possible. :D
