It's been a long time

Hey all... I haven't updated in a while... this summer has been the craziest summer I've ever had. I've been looking over my calendar and so far there's been 13 days where I have had nothing to do - and those days were few and far between. So here's a synopsis of my summer:
May 6-8th: Hospitalized for Crohn's
May 15-20: Classes in Harrisonburg (stayed with David)
May 22-June 9th: Italy
June 23-24th: Hospitalized again for Crohn's, released on the 25th and
June 25th-July 3rd: 7 day cruise with David's family and then Houston, TX
July 30th-Aug 2nd: In Florida to say goodbye to my grandpa
I also went on many other small trips, this will be the first weekend at home for me since Father's Day!

In between all this I've had 15 doctors appointments, 6IV's, 6 X-rays, 7 CT scans, a colonoscopy, an endoscopy and over 7 different doctors. Now I'm starting a new treatment for Crohn's disease which involves getting a 2 hour IV every 8 weeks for the rest of my life. Yesterday was my first IV, and today I'm definitely feeling the side effects. But hopefully it'll be put it into remission and I'll be able to STOP going to the freakin hospital and I'll also hopefully be able to eat fruits and veggies and nuts again.

Anyways! This Sunday I have to go and meet David halfway & take him home to my house, then we're having my family birthday party, then Monday I'm showing him around nova and where I grew up, then Tuesday we all (parents, me & David) leave for Puerto Rico & are staying til my birthday. I'm soooo excited to see him, it's been like two weeks I think since I last saw him, lol. Monday is also our 7 month anniversary, haha. It sounds so lame. But August 23rd will be a year from when we first met, as well as being the day that I MOVE OUT OF THE HOUSE AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA FOR GOOD!!!!! Thank the Lord!

*** If anyone wants any sweatshirts, or other various items that could possibly be found in my room (I have 2 lamps, a book lamp, lots of stuffed animals, pretty much everything in the world) let me know... Some of the sweatshirts have only been worn once or twice and are clean. I'll be selling them on eBay but you all get first dibs. They'll be going for $10-20 so they're quite a bargain. Call my TEMPORARY cell # at 703-598-9801 or my permanent cell # at 571-275-9660 (we're getting new phones but my old contract doesn't run out til the 26th which is why I currently have 2 phones & 2 #'s).***

I hope everything's going ok with all of you. I'm sorry if I haven't called or kept in touch (this especially applies to Averill who is required to visit my apartment many many times this year, and I will visit yours too) but as you can see, I have been swamped with medical crap & all sorts of other things. Here's to wishing you all a great August & a wonderful fall semester!
