There are times when I despair of the BBC and its desperate bids for 'relevance', which usually amount to injecting sex and more sex into the most unlikely vehicles. See, for example, the recent horrific radio version of A Dance to the Music of Time and recent TV Jane Austen's. Occasionally though older values prevail and the BBC pulls off something that no other media company would be likely even to attempt. The recent R3 Greek and Latin Voices is one such. I had a delightful walk to work this morning listening to two classicists and a neuroscientist give erudite and interesting talks on various aspects of Euripides. Highly recommended.
