Miller Brittain at the McMichael

Kate, lemur_catta and I went out to Kleinburg today for a visit to the McMichael Collection. There were several special exhibitions on but the pick was unquestionably Miller Brittain: When the Stars Threw Down Their Spears. I'd never heard of Miller Brittain, but this looks remarkable from the little one sees on the gallery website you linked to. Any more of his art on the web?

The whole greenbelt thing is...odd. I worked on a project for the Oak Ridges Moraine conservation group, and as far as I can tell, the idea is to buy ecologically sensitive or valuable land from its owners, or ask them nicely to give it, and there is a lot of gray when it comes to how conservation is defined.
