Long afternoon at the Beach

May 31, 2009 17:37

I was quite concerned about my ankle this morning as I was limping when I walked up to the store to get bread and sunscreen. I got the ankle taped by the Beach physio but I was still concerned warming up. In the event I didn't have any problems and was generally well up with the play. It was a pretty decent game of rugby and I think I did OK. I passed the acid test. The losing team coach thought I had a good game.

The first team game (I was a TJ for that game) was quite a thriller. Brampton came back with two late scores but the Beach held on to win 43-41.

I have ice on the ankle now as a precaution. Removing the tape job reminded me of why I used to shave my lower leg on game days.
