Sliced Bread: The Epitome of Perfection
I love sliced bread. I love it so much that I dedicate this post to it.
Sliced bread... how beautiful you are!
You were invented by Otto F. Rohwedder in 1928 and from that day on the world was never the same.
I love you for many reasons... here are just a few:
1) I love that you come in so many varieties, French, Sourdough, Wheat and the classic White, just to name a few
. 2) You taste good with so many different spreads, from Jam to Butter, you can do no wrong.
3) If I fold you in half and bite the middle I can make a hole in you and look through... so fantastic.
4) You are simple. I, the most horrible cook, can make toast, and that is quite an accomplishment.
5) So many people count on you! From those that work at Subway, to those who make Jiffy Peanut Butter or Smuckers Jam, without you they would not exist.
So to you my beautiful beautiful beautiful food... THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!
