The Monday after a good weekend always seems so confusing. I get mumbly and disorientated. I wonder what good 'one-of-the-most-social-weekends-I've-ever-had' does if it doesn't distinguish at least SOME of the awkward weekday moments. I can't read people on Monday's. A good weekend DOES allow you to accept the awkwardness with an occasional smile, though!
I had some strange pattern recognition thing last night when I asked a good friend about their tea consumption. It follows that the people I trust most in this world prefer tea to coffee. Just a coincidence, I'm sure. But it does motivate me to drink less coffee in order to be less selfish.
I just saw an ad for the upcoming Steve Irwin tribute on Channel 9. There's something strange about minor key piano arpeggios mixing with a gumby beige man yelling out Occa. It might work in slow-mo, though.
The independent weekly ran a '100 things we love about Adelaide' for its 100th issue. The food items intrigued me the most, but that could have been circumstantial.
Okkervil River play this Saturday night at Fowler's. But I just saw today that The Sleepy Jackson play the unibar. I don't know much about either, but will no doubt attend one just to avoid the feeling of missing out.
I'm off to cokemachineglow now.
