Life lessons that I have yet to completely comply with

May 13, 2006 14:00

Appreciate every moment you have with everyone you have it with.  It could be the last  one.
Live like you're going to die tomorrow, so if you do, you will have left a mark.
Let your friends know how much they mean to you.  Don't just assume they know already.
Love your family.  Flaws and all.
Dance in the rain at least once.
Roll down a hill in sunny weather at least once.
Do something completely unlike you and unexpected at least once.
Don't always look before you leap.  Just leap.
Remember that everything you say can never be taken back.  You can apologize for it, but they will still remember it.
Don't have enemies for stupid reasons.  I've had a few, and it was stupid.  I could have been friends with those people, and instead I wasted valuable energy despising them.  What a waste of valuable time.
Don't ever think you're invincible.  Everyone is capable of falling, or worse.
Read a good book every once and a while.  (I have definitely complied with this... but those of you who haven't, I know who you are. :P)
When I die, I'm going to leave a book to every friend I have.  Maybe more than one because I have a lot.  It will be a book that I think suits that person.  And you'd better read it or I'll come haunt you.
Love everything that lives.  Especially dogs.  Like dogs named Chauncy.  :P
Enjoy wind.
Swim in a river.
Stay in the ocean until 3 in the morning.  Or at least on the beach.  (Thank you for that experience Ginny.  I've missed you by the way.)
With that, don't lose touch with friends that you're really close to.

I'm done for now.

I'm scared guys.
