(no subject)

Man, this break has flown by. I only have 2 days left, then it is back to Boston. To be quite honest, I am dreading it more than anything. I know once I get back into the swing of things it will be fine, but that doesn't make me feel any better at the moment. It has been really nice to just bum around my house all day, then be with Sean all night. The fact that I probably won't see him until the middle of May is becoming more real now. At least he is taking me back to school so I will have a little extra time to see him. Also, I have had a lot of good family time this break, something we all needed after the stress of this summer. It feels like things are back to normal...or at least as normal as they ever were.

I just looked up all the books I need for this semester, and I'm pretty much going to have to chain myself to a chair and read non-stop. At least I will be busy and not sit on my butt all day long like I do now. Or I hope not anyway...no promises there.

I hope this is a good year. I can't believe it is already 2007. We are getting so old. In a few years people will start getting married and getting real jobs (not counting the people from our class who are already engaged or have their career at Wegmans...) In the spirit of growing up, I will end with a few quotes from the greatest show ever made about the subject; The Wonder Years:

“All our young lives we search for someone to love. Someone who makes us complete. We choose partners and change partners. We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope... all the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, there's someone perfect... who might be searching for us.”

"Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up."

“Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them
stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart”
