OMFG TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!
Volunteered in Registration from 10 to 1, but I didn't get signed out until ten past and then I had to train my replacement.
Thought we weren't going to make it into the Stargate panels, but ended up getting really good seats and some good pictures. Highlights include:
*Chris Judge being totally sweet, lifting up his shirt, and just generally awesome.
*Gary Jones being hiarious as the moderator, but being a bit of an attention whore.
*Paul McGillion being a total ham and butting into everyones answers. But HILARIOUS!
*David Hewlit got most of the questions, but asked why all of his starte with "You're going to hate me, but..." (which at least two of them did!)
*A clip from David Hewlit's movie that he wrote, directed and starred in - which had Paul and *Rachel Luttrell kissing! So weird!
*Torri unfortunately being really quiet, and only getting one question at the end! (Although she did make a comment at one point "I can't even remember what I had for breakfast!")
AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Joe kissed Torri!!! SPARKY!!!!
Then we went down stairs to the Sci Fi booth and the Stargate-y booth across the way (where we'd gotten Chris Judges autograph yesterday), because Rachel was signing at 4. And the best day ever happened to me:
*Got a free Battelstar Galactica shirt for signing up for a credit card and then ran into Aaron Douglas (for the *third* time!) and was brave and got him to sign it!!
*I MET PAUL MCGILLION!!
Saw Paul from across the way and ran over to him just as muldy jumped in front of him and yelled "stop!" and he stopped and went "what?" Then muldy said: "My friend has Scottish food for you!" and that's exactly when I walked up! I reached in and pulled out an Irn Bru and handed it too him and told him it was from Scotland and he grabbed it and said "God bless you!" opened it and started drinking it! Then I gave him the bag with the other can in it and tea cakes and was told him Scotland says hi or loves him or something, cause I can't remember! But I was so nervous and excited at the same time I voice was like shaking. But he was so sweet and seemed to really like the present and then asked if I wanted a picture with him and I think I yelled "yes!" and thrust my camera at muldy. Paul put his arm around me and we had to stand like that for ages cause muldy couldn't get my camera to work, but really I wasn't complaining. Unforunately the pic that came out good had my eyes closed! :( Kristy got a good one though.
*I MET TORRI HIGGINSON!
A few minutes later muldy came up to Kristy and I and said xfkirsten (who we met and is soooo nice!!) ran off yelling "TORRI!" so we followed. And there she was! I worked my way around to the front of her and took a bunch pictures as she was talking to some people, then as soon as she stopped I jumped in front of her, shoved the glass dolphin and dolphin bracelet in her face and practically yelled "Torri, I got a present for you!" (Swear that's the bravest thing I've ever done in my life) Her whole face lit up and she squealed and started making dolphin noises!!!! And she said she loved it and thought the brcelet was beautiful! Kristy jumped in front of everyone else to join in and said we'd gotten it when we'd gone shopping the week before and Torri thanked us and said she loved it and gave us hugs and kisses!!!! And then Kristy asked for our pictures with her and she said of course and they came out so good!! I seriously haven't been able to breathe since then.
*I got Garret Wang's autograph and told him I used to have a crush on him and he though it was cute, I think :)
*Rachel Luttrell walked within arm's distance of me and I got her and Chris Judge to sign an Atlantis poster I got. Chris signed it "Teal'c was here" which is hilarious! And I made a fool of myself babbling in front of Rachel, but oh well!!
OMG, so happy. Today was the best day of my life. I still haven't come down from my high...
