An eventful evening

I haven't really done much of anything the past few days. I just hung out at home but on Wednesday I picked up some furniture for Allison and took it to her new apartment. We had difficulties with the headboard but all is well now.

Yesterday was pretty normal until late that evening. I went to work and read some more in my book. Afterward, I went home and took a nap because I was so tired for some reason and that it was raining outside didn't help much. It was a dready, wet day. My dad got some things taken care of for school. Then it came time to go to Journey like always. My brother came again. When we got there, we all just talked and ate for a little bit and then went over to the fellowship hall for the service. It was great! Once the service was over, everyone headed back over to the gym for some dodgeball. The games were going well. The girls from the Czech Republic played and were getting out a whole lot of people. It was funny because they were getting out the guys. My brother took a few blows that kinda hurt. Well it was around 10:40ish when the game went from fun to scary. Patrick and Houston were running around like always trying to dodge and throw balls; however, at this time they weren't paying much attention and collided! The collision was hard!! It sent Patrick spinning down to the floor and he banged his head on the hard floor. We all gasped and knew he was in some serious pain. He rolled over holding his head and then when he lifted it blood was dripping all around him. He was hurt really bad! We got him up and Anthony, Dani, and Houston took him to the ER. Things began to die down and people were leaving but Ashley, Amanda, Kristin, Allison and I were going around and cleaning up all of the blood. I couldn't find my brother after we had got Patrick something to put on his head to stop the blood from flowing. My brother was shocked and terrified. Ashley finally found him. He was so upset because he has never seen anything like that where someone has been hurt that badly. I got him calmed down enough to where I could finish helping get everything cleaned up, sterile, and disposed of. It looked pretty bad by how bad it was bleeding and we couldn't really tell where it was coming from (the general area). I told Allison and Amanda to let me know as soon as they heard anything because I had to get my brother home. He was extremely upset and didn't really know how to deal with something like that. I couldn't really sleep and I just laid in bed. I apparently finally got to sleep for a short while and then my cell phone rang. I don't remember hearing it but I remember answering it. It was Allison letting me know the update on Pat. He had to get 5 staples in his head and that the hospital had released him to go home. I told her thank you and got up to check on my brother. He couldn't sleep either and was still pretty shaken. I told him about Pat and that everything was going to be fine. He was finally able to get to sleep and so was I.

Patrick is doing ok as far as I know. I haven't received an update call today but I know he'll be alright.

Some people would be proud of me that I didn't totally freak out and pass out because I saw a large amount of blood. I shocked myself too. I guess being First Aid certified has come in handy.

Well, I hope everyone else is doing well. My cousin is spending the weekend with me so I don't know if I'll update until Monday. But Have a great weekend!
