Did she really say...

"Joe-six-packs?" I mean, from the whole debate that's all I remember about her. Does she say anything? She never says anything, she makes no argument for anything, she folds and bends and makes nothing clear...It makes me so angry. She's not just ruining things for Female Republican Politicians, she's setting all women back 50 years, at least. She ( Read more... )

Most middle class men don't have six packs, right? mandyrhea October 3 2008, 23:49:53 UTC
I'm sad to be of the same gender, and even more so I am sad for those of any gender who ate up what she said last night and think what a wholesome, smart, trustworthy woman she is. I can't believe some of her comments, some of the ones that bothered me the most were:
1. When she said that she and John didn't change what they were saying depending on the group that they were addressing, and implied that Joe and Barack certainly did.
2. When she denied the fact that she won't really acknowledge domestic partnership because she will LET domestic partners visit each other on their death beds. What?
3. Her constantly bringing everything back to energy or the greed and corruption on wall street. Not to mention her denial that the climate change is anything but man made.
4. Her plan for Afghanistan mirroring exactly the plan for insurgency in Iraq, and then denying the validity of Joe Biden's experience and cautions in this area.
5. How she wants to have ultimate power over the Senate and have her vote count even when it shouldn't. I loved how JB called Dick Cheny the most destructive VP in history.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but mostly it just worries me that her smile and candor and use of the term hockey mom and her act about not knowing how things work in washington will actually help her with many women in this country. I can't stand that.

i also liked how, in the katie couric interview, she said she would make abortion illegal and THEN advise victims of inscest and rape to choose life. that's like hitting people in the head with a hammer and then advising them to get a headache . . .

it's a sad day when katie couric seems reasonable or intelligent . . .

I was thinking that same thing about Couric...perhaps Palin's greatest blow against decency so far is making Katie Couric relevant again...
