I've been watching the Ken Burns Documentary on WWII. It is very informative, a lot of stuff I didn't learn in Mr. Young's class, nor my college History class. It's telling me about the battle of Guadalcanal and other islands that I had no idea about. I didn't know what happened in those places and how ill-prepared American troops were. I guess I should have read more about such things. I feel ignorant, but excited to learn about things I never knew. I feel like I have this weird connection to history, like for the sake of those who have died and served, I should know their story...hell, as an American I should know as much of my country's history as I can or have the time to attain. Nonetheless, if you haven't seen it, it's worth watching, I think. So much great footage, makes me wonder where they got all of it from. It has made me cry a few times
