Wow, this was awesome! So well written and very perfectly in character. I haven't actually read a Fringe fic in months...so I have some catching up to do soon. I'm glad yours was the first one that brought me back though, because I absolutely adore the stuff you write!
There were so many fantastic lines, but for some reason these two really stood out to me: Important in the abstract, maybe, but she's more important in the concrete, here-and-now reality, at least to him. Selfish, but he's never claimed to be anything but.
Also, you make me want to keep reading more and see where this whole thing is going! Excellent fic :D
Every time I see you've written something I have to brace myself for whatever brain breaking amazingness is to come. This more than break my brrain, it makes me want to write too :)
Of course I love your take on the partnership of Peter and Olivia, that he knows where her armor is weak and how to play on her sense of responsibility, but I'm really more excited by seeing your Philip and Nina interact. I could actually hear their voices saying the words, it was awesome. Very well done.
Oh, thank you! I was so worried about getting Phillip and Nina right, since I've never really written them, but they kinda of... inserted themselves. I swear, they were just suddenly there, commenting on Olivia and Peter, while I just blinked and said "Huh. That's interesting."
I watched the whole second half of the series this week. It's gonna be painful to have to wait for more episodes. But at least now I can see there is some fanfic worth reading. The Pit was scaring me when I went looking. :P
I don't know, I think it was more painful to have to wait out those two seven week hiatuses during the season; at least you only have one long hiatus to suffer through. *grin*
Pit does have some good stuff, but it does take some looking. And there is some awesome stuff on LiveJournal. Not nearly enough fic, though. *sigh*
This feels like a piece of a bigger picture. Awesome.
I've been lazy about feedback, but I've read most (all?) of your Fringe fics and I'm always happy to see your name when you've posted something new. A belated thanks for all of your lovely fics thus far!
And I'm happy you've liked my other stuff as well. I'm always so glad to hear someone's been reading and enjoying, whether or not they're leaving feedback. And total sympathy about not leaving feedback; I've been awful about commenting to anything this spring.
