Snooker, I guess. Still haven't yet figured that game out. :-)

(I can survive playing pool (aka 8-ball). The problem is that I'm a little more familiar with NZ Pub rules, which aren't quite the same as official rules. Offical rules don't state what happens when you loose the game without sinking any balls..)

Snooker is a lot easier than that cricket you folks have. Pot red, pot a color, and after all the reds are gone, pot the colors in a certain order. Hardly complicated, from a spectator's point of view :)

Cricket's easy. One side tries to knock over the little stack of wood, the other side has to stop them and whack the ball far enough away to be able to have the two team members out in the middle run between the piles of wood before the other lot can knock them over. The team trying to stop the piles of wood getting knocked over get bonus points for hitting the ball hard enough to get it out of the playing area. Simple.

But it took you more lines to explain it, and I still don't get it :D

Aaah, but I can understand cricket. :-)

You're not all that fond of the team sports, huh?

I have nothing against team sports, but now that you mention it I do seem to enjoy watching individual sports more. I guess it's because in the end, despite the coaches and whatnot, that one person has to be his best, to be able to win.
On the other hand, I enjoy F1 too, and that, despite what some might think, is a team sport!

Aah, but in F1, it's usually the Driver's that get the glory and the name - the team is somewhat secondary.

I guess I used to play cricket in my youth so I do sort of appreciate the game.. and at Eden Park (Auckland's main cricket ground) it's tradition for the spectators in the terraces (a cheap secton with cheap seats) to cause mischeif when the game gets boring... (When the game gets boring, the spectators often are more interesting than the game.)

Define "mischeif"
If you don't, my dirty mind might take me places I don't want to go ...

Well, it is an open air area and there are security people and police around. It's not a real game at Eden Park unless *somebody* is arrested. Nobody is naked...

(For too long at any rate. Sunburn can be kinda nasty.)
