I have waited for months for it to seem, if not appropriate, you know, close.
I really did want to thank him for being such an influence...hope it didn't seem crass, but I decided to act on the principle that it's better to apologize than to ask permission.
(it probably seems like a little thing, but my hands feel shaky and I've got butterflies...maybe I've been calling him "my boyfriend" in jest too long. Because I'm on a similar tightrope of expectation between him wanting to take me under his wing, or at least, blurb "Tales 2" or saying I've got newbie-writer cooties and he didn't think of me That Way.)
In actuality, it will probably go unremarked, like most of my Facebook comments. I think I write long for Facebook. Well, that, and I always run short of adventures and have neither recipes nor cute kids(What am I doing on this planet again? Wait...that's a post for later in the month.)
