So I'm reading the new BUST and getting all excited because there's an article about how Vera Farmiga is directing her own movies and thinking about getting women parts that aren't just gir lfriends and all that stuff. But about midway through, I'm not excited anymore because it's supposed to be about a fundamentalist Christian community. Who the hell wants to see that?(pun partially intended)
Why not work on something exciting, put some butts in the seats so I don't have to read your follow-up in six months about how people don't trust art by women, but it was a total labor of love and you learned tons...maybe I am superficial though. But what I'm picturing is a movie wherein we watch Vera Farmiga pray and do dishes for two hours...maybe getting pushed around by her husband or a pastor so there is some conflict. Next! And there will probably be some worldly person she has to forswear having sex with(or she does, so they have something for the trailer, but then she is Wracked With Guilt)
