OMG, The Beirut Episode...

I know I have often been " Bourdain-likes-carrots" in here in recent weeks(although that is kind of a misnomer...if he were my friend, I'd be concerned about his lack of consumption of vegetable matter in general, but I digress wildly.)
But I don't know whether to be impressed or ashamed that American reporters and camera crews got schooled by a fucking chef.(Ok, maybe not Richard Engel. Everyone else, though. Ok, now I want to see Bourdain and Engel together...still not thinking Bourdain/Engel mind you, but that is to someone's taste, I'd bet money on it. But that would be a fascinating conversation.)
For not-reporters, everyone on that show demonstrated phenomenal narrative sense. I won't say I'm jealous cause that implies I *want* to leave the Middle East by the skin of my ass, escorted by "Mr. Wolfe"...I'm thinking we could really spell his name C. I. A, but whatever, but I can only hope that I could bear such effective witness to things I've seen.(I do get a pang when I see it done right...that's what she said.)
Emmy well deserved.

media, no reservations
