I don't spend much time pondering stuff I hate anymore, but my general reaction to American Idol has always been "Wow, people *choose* this?!" and that's even more true about the people that get all hyped when their guy wins. And it's not even that shocking when that Simon guy gets caustic since they cast him, as, like, the Villain. A lot of times I think that he is right, but maybe he really is an asshole because those losers whom he supposedly doesn't wish to encourage bought his mansion in Bel- Air.
I've never liked any of the music that came from it, and as an artist wannabe myself, it sort of bums me out how much these newbies have thought about marketing and fitting in to the Country Slot, The Soul Slot, the Rocker slot and the Sweetheart slot. And I hate how much I know about it, given that it doesn't entertain me(It used to be House's lead-in, and they really get these people a lot of exposure to fill up their fifteen minutes.)
And are there really people over twelve who are shocked that those sparkly boys are gay? Because I don't have gaydar;some of those closets have glass doors, dude.
