The newest show I watch right now is The Good Wife. I like the characters, the cast, and the mix between family drama, court procedural, and inside look at Chicago's power players. Sometimes it hits me hard, though. My mom's had to start over, too.
The new-to-me show that finished its run this season is Numbers. I'm sorry it took me so long to catch up to it.
I was sort of like "Math! Oh no," about this one but my kink for smart Jewish guys completely over-ruled it. If everyone on there was from Minnesota, I sincerely doubt I'd be watching this. You betcha. Because I still have dreams about flunking.
But I used this vid of the pilot to avoid spoilers even though I think the HSQ is totally beside the point and I'd totally enjoy watching the cast eat brisket at chez Eppes just as much. Don't get me wrong--the cases are decently written, even have me going once in a while, but I'm a Simon fan, you know, so I don't really believe lawyering up is a dick move, even though it's not in me to deny Rob Morrow much...things like that.
