Karaokegal asked me some meme questions about Entourage...

Which I'll put under a

The character I first fell in love with: Not the usual answer, but probably E. That whole "seeing things through their eyes" thing could either work very strongly in his favor or count against him, but I relate to him the most.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I think you could say that about the whole posse, actually. Entourage did not make a good first impression, but I'm devoted to all the guys now.
The character everyone else loves that I don't I wouldn't say I don't like her, but I don't have dirty thoughts about Sloan and I kind of don't believe her as a character because she's never upset and everything is just cool with her all the time...for somebody as tightly-wound as E to spend all of his time with two characters that mellow, just, like, defies the laws of physics. And the triangle with her and Ashley went on too long. Honorable mention to all the strippers, porno chicks and bikini babes that HBO throws on to keep the frat-rat audience watching...a little goes a long way.
The character I love that everyone else hatesSad to say, I think both E. and Vinny Chase have filled this bill at one time or another...I think they make it look easy, but that doesn't mean it is, and I think the Ari Gold spinoff that the masses occasionally bleat for would quickly lack emotional dimension as part of why people like Ari is because he "pwns" and they didn't enjoy some of Piven's best work, which comes when Ari struggles. Personally, I'd like Shauna to have a show. And I want to see more Dana Gordon.
The character I used to love, but don't any longer: I wouldn't say that this is a character thing, more of a plot thing, but the C story of "Turtle and Drama go trolling for ass" has seen better days. Sometimes I want to see Mrs. Ari into something that's not shopping, also. Her attempts to win satisfaction on Ari's credit card occasionally strike me as both old hat and anti-woman.
The character I would shag any time
Sometimes this is Ari, sometimes it's Vince, although I know that is like deciding between cocaine and ecstasy and is supposed to be one of those things that you are either in one camp or the other about. But I'm not, obviously...it's very much a mood thing.
The character I'd slap...
Bob Ryan. I still want the fake Ramones movie, though I'm not actually a Ramones fan. But the guys were so geeked. Also, Billy Walsh for not appreciating the wet-dream that would be the massive QB rollout he torpedoed in the name of purity. But if I slapped him, I think he would become sexually obsessed by me and "Sex kills creativity..."(Why am I not the most original bitch on the planet, then? But I digress.)
pairing that I love...
Ari/Dana and Ari/ Mrs. Ari.
And I have to say Drama could almost make breakfast for the subtext between Vinny and Eric.
Turtle/Kelly
Turtle/Jamie
A pairing that I hate
It doesn't gross me out or anything, but I do think the people who write Ari/ Eric are taking their relationship a bit too literally.
I really didn't like Drama/Jacqueline though the first night they had together and Drama coming apart on The View were separate strokes of genius.
Favorite character
Today I want to say Drama, because of the layers of comedy and empathy he brings to the part.
Five favorite characters
Drama, E, Vinny, Ari, Lloyd, Shauna
Five least favorite characters
"Mandy Moore,""Seth Green"(it was funny once...they did it three times) Adam Davies, the hillbilly screenwriters from season 5, Billy Walsh(also funnier in initial doses)Ashley
My deep, dark, fandom secret.
Sometimes I wish there were something going on in this fandom besides Vince/Eric slash. I know it's the elephant in the room wearing Armani sunglasses, but still.
Sometimes, I have read Grenier/Connolly slash, and didn't hate it, although the excitement was mixed with the keenest embarrassment. I just kept wondering what they would think, and whether, not being on Viking Quest or some other fantasy show, if they were prepared for it. Sometimes they say things that make me think they know, and sometimes just the opposite.
