Well, now I can die...
Because I have the Wire Soundtrack with the Pogues song I want at my funeral/wake/thank-god-that-bitch-is-finally-quiet. This is not to imply that I have imminent plans in that direction...that post would probably say "Today I canceled my magazine subscriptions," even though that would be a lie, as those were one of the first things to go when everybody climbed into our financial business a few years back, but that is not dark and funny and minimalist is it? No.
I also bought a feminist anthology and Jonathan Alter's FDR book(Weirdly, I have a very "my friend's the author," feeling about that one, even though I've never spoken to Dr. Alter either in the flesh or online and just have heard him opining on TV for two years...maybe it's just really hard to be a smart crippled girl and ignore the whole "Child's History Of FDR" thing.(waves) And I do know what it's like when your friend's the author...my friendslist is full of published folks whose books I have.) Someday, I think they will tire of humoring my half-assed efforts, but that's a topic for another day.
