It's funny that when something really sucks I'm far more prepared to know what to write about it...cast it in unflattering lights and moan about incompetence, hype, and empty promises. It's a different thing when something lives up to what you are expecting, and BareNaked Ladies did that. They made lots of jokes about the arena being right next to the many hourly-rate type motels downtown, and sneaking over the fence to cross the border. They sounded really great. At no time did I prefer the recorded version or think they are sellouts. At bottom, I think they are still the geeks from "Grade Nine" but in a good way. Fun has been rare in our lives lately, but I swear this good response is not some "Folsom Prison Blues" captive audience thing. Every thanks in the world to my best internet wife debg for providing the opportunity.
In other news there is no way I can work on "A Model Citizen" until I get this...whatever with the computer fixed.I get some kind of "runtime error". Although I haven't thought of it in six months, anyway. Maybe there's no way at all anyway; maybe I just have a good excuse now. You know, there have been things I could have sent it into, but I thought I didn't want to use the paper and printer ink on myself! Saving every penny has made me small and petty.
