So I have a group of 15 or so folks who are insisting I go out for my 30th birthday. (Blah.) I'm trying to find a bar that meets the following criteria:
1. Decent parking nearby (this is the big one as people are driving in from the 'burbs),
2. Will have enough seating for a group of 15 around 8:30 or so on a Saturday night,
3. No live music (so we can hear each other),
4. Not too Trixie-ish or hipster-ish, and
5. Has food, or lets you order in food.
A tall order, I know.
The places that have crossed my mind are Guthrie's (too crowded-y, no parking-y, and Wrigleyville-y), Blue Stem Martini Lounge (I don't think my friends would appreciate the nutto bartender there, which is too bad because her martinis are effing awesome), Small Bar (probably too crowded-y), Cody's (still on the table, I don't know how crowded it gets these days, though), or somewhere in Lincoln Square (I am fond of Huettenbar and the Grafton, but it'll probably be too crowded. Bad Dog or the Daily might work but I'm not hugely fond of either. The Celtic Crown fits the bill but man, is the service ever bad there.)
Halp? Other ideas? Somewhere I haven't considered?
