"Where there's tears, there's hope." THEN I MUST HAVE MORE HOPE THAN ANYONE IN THE UNIVERSE.
Simm!Master reacting to the arrival of a weapons-grade Cyberman by screaming "KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT" like he's me confronted with an unexpected spider did make me laugh. And just in gereral the two Masters have a wonderful dynamic with each other, dancing and flirting and Simm!Master being grossed out to think he might develop Feelings in the future and Gomez!Master having no patience for his inability to think practically. Murdering each other. "Like a whole screaming world on fire. I remember that feeling."
And it's a good thing, too, because the rest of the episode was just an exercise in "how many times can we break Chica's heart in a row?" WHY.
"I do what I do because it's RIGHT. Because it's DECENT. Because, above all else, it's KIND."
"You're wrong, you know. Quite wrong. I never will be able to find the words."
"Because he's right. Because it's time to stand with him."
Bill crying over the Doctor's body.
And then Heather showed up and I was a mess. A complete mess. Just. Bawling my eyes out. (I, uh. May have been slightly spoiled for Heather's appearance? Not in a "hey Heather's in the finale" kind of way but suddenly people were talking about Heather and that set off a couple alarms in my head. But then there was so much going on I forgot about it until she came up out of the water and then I BAWLED. Through their whole conversation. BILL and HEATHER and THE UNIVERSE and ANYTHING THE TWO OF THEM WANT and WHERE THERE'S TEARS THERE'S HOPE I'M CRYING SO HARD RIGHT NOW)
"I can't keep on being someone else" and the Cloister Bell and ARRRRGH THE FIRST DOCTOR I CAN'T
I'M SERIOUSLY MELTING DOWN OVER HERE
