Something red and sparkly in me liked it.

I feel you, Riley, I feel the same way after looking at the news headlines.

I love Riley. But yeah. Girl did need the wakeup call she got in this episode. And I'm very glad it ended with her realizing that just because there's evil in the world, that doesn't mean there's no point in trying to be or do good.

She crossed a serious line eating Zay's cookie, though. "This is only an okay cookie." Youch.

Basically I'm not thrilled with the Riley Committee. I think they're well-intentioned, but it's a very patronizing concept, and I think it's doing more harm than good. Wrapping Riley in bubble wrap can't last forever, and the longer they keep things from her (whether that's "Pluto isn't a planet anymore" or "people, in general, suck") the more it's gonna hurt when it comes out. At least it seems like Riley is also not thrilled with the idea.

The Auggie subplot was cute, didn't take up too much time, and directly tied into the main plot. A+.

This is a short reaction post because of reasons, but generally I think this was one of the better episodes.

Oh, yeah, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention Maya walking off with a printer when Riley asks her how people can be evil, or Smackle announcing that she came in through the door because she's wearing a skirt. "Did not realize it was a window day." LOVE THEM BOTH FOREVER.
