want, need ... semantics.

Have I talked about Agent Gardiner yet?

Because he is fascinating. (Well. He's played by Nicholas Lea.) And because he's played by Nicholas Lea, there is a voice in my head yelling loudly that he is NOT TO BE TRUSTED, but really ... if you were in his shoes, would you trust Kiera? And he's being pretty straightforward about his lack of trust. And there's so many interesting places this storyline could go ...

Loved our cosplaying geek hero this week. (And the gay geek wedding, that was fantastic. I'm never getting married but if I did I would want a geek cosplay wedding.) He wanted so badly to be a hero! ("You didn't need a suit for that.")

And then Alec's romantic storyline, which is interesting; he wants a life, with all the sorts of things that typically includes for someone his age, and she's cute (although, WTF, Alec, not out of your league at all) and thinks he's smart and funny and this could go completely wrong so fast ...

Meanwhile, Liber8 continues to fall apart from the Sonya/Travis split. They gotta be careful, or their desire to win over each other could defeat their ultimate purpose. (And interesting that Travis is getting better at the PR angle... and that Sonya couldn't bring herself to shoot him.)

AND THEN THERE WAS ELENA. How many people wound up in the past? (How many people were in the execution chamber?) Grateful that she managed to create a new, happy life for herself, and wondering if that's foreshadowing for Kiera; but then, Kiera's got a family in the future, which may keep her from fully committing herself to 2013.

Carlos didn't do much this week but get a few snarky lines in ("It's okay, I'm seeing other police precincts, too"), but his being there for Kiera emotionally at the end was wonderful; he's so not used to seeing her fall apart, and I'm glad he was able to step up and just be there for her when she did.

I really adore this show, have I mentioned that?

fandom, continuum, zomg i love this show
