I just got hold of a DVD of the '08 Dresden production of Chess and I'm watching it now and oh my god you guys if I knew how to make gifs from DVDs I would be making so many.
What was the concept behind this set/costume design? I want to know.
(The really interesting thing is that the staging is fantastic, the cast is singing the hell out of it, holy shit I love the lighting just from how it looks on a DVD which means it must have been amazing in person, but I just keep getting distracted by the set and costumes. IDK!)
